FHSU Honors Veterans Through Gift Match Fundraising Effort

By: FHSU Foundation

Hays, KS. – Each November, Americans pay tribute to veterans across the country who have served honorably for the freedom and safety of our citizens. To further efforts to help veterans, Fort Hays State University has joined the Heart of America Patriot Foundation to raise awareness and funding for the dependents of fully disabled or deceased veterans.

The Heart of America Patriot Foundation has an incredible mission – to educate its veterans’ legacies by providing scholarships to spouses and/or dependents of deceased or 100 percent disabled veterans. The Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance Program, Chapter 35, provides support for educational goals, for dependents of veterans with service-related injuries.

Gifts to Fort Hays State University will be matched dollar for dollar by the Heart of America Patriot Foundation for this effort. Because of this generous match, FHSU hopes to raise as much funding as possible to support the families of our veterans.

You can help by making a gift this Veterans Day – November 11. Give online by visiting www.ifedthetiger.com or mail your donation to FHSU Foundation, PO Box 1060, Hays, KS 67601. Make your check to FHSU Foundation with “Heart of America Patriot Foundation” written in the memo line. Celebrate Veterans Day by having your gift to FHSU doubled while honoring those who have served.
