The Eisenhower Foundation has launched a $17 million capital campaign to build a state-of-the-art Education Center at the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene. With 69% of the goal already raised, the Center aims to become a national hub for education, innovation, and civic engagement.

Major support includes a $5 million matching grant from the State of Kansas and contributions from the Sunderland and Patterson Family Foundations.

The facility will feature an Oval Office replica, an Immersion Theater, and a Global Studio to expand programming reach. It builds on the success of the Foundation’s IKEducation program, which served over 23,000 students across 39 states and three countries in 2023.

Of the total funds, $14 million will go toward construction, $2 million toward a building endowment, and $1 million for expanded programming. The Center plans to open in 2026, coinciding with America’s 250th birthday.
