The Geary County Historical Society and Museums and the Black History Trail of Geary County will hold a special “Putting the Puzzle Together: A Black History Donation” event on Saturday, February 1st, at the Geary County Museum, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
The museum will have donation tables set up for patrons who may have photos or other local Black History-related items that they would be willing to loan or donate for the upcoming “The Missing Piece” Black History exhibit opening in June. Photo scanning will be available for those who have digital photos that they would like to donate also.
During the donation event, Oral History Stations will also be set up if patrons would like to tell their story on local Black History. More information can be found on the Historical Society’s Facebook page.
