K-State Extension’s River Valley District is offering a series of nutrition presentations in March for those interested in learning more about heart-healthy eating. These presentations will cover several topics, including the impact sodium has on high blood pressure and using herbs and spices for flavor when cooking, heart-healthy fats, and heart-smart eating while out and about.
Each presentation will include a taste-testing opportunity. The River Valley District is offering this series in two different locations during the month of March, so we hope one will work conveniently with your schedule. Please find the details below:
Republic County Hospital in Belleville, KS Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center, KS
* 4-5 PM on Mondays, March 2, 16, 23, 30 * 10-11 AM on Tuesdays, March 3, 17, 24, 31
Participants are asked to register in advance so we can ensure there is enough food for everyone to enjoy the taste-testing opportunity. To register, please call any of the River Valley District offices, the Belleville office number is 785-527-5084, the Clay Center office number is 785-632-5335, the Washington office number is 785-325-2121.
