“We are excited to partner with the K-State Physics Department and the Kansas Astronomical Observers to bring an International Observe the Moon Night event to the Discovery Center”, says Sally Dreher, Curator of Education. “With experts, hands-on learning, telescopes, and, hopefully, cooperative weather, we will join hundreds of thousands of people from around the world to view the moon!”

The first 50 youth (under 17) will receive a free goody box full of space-themed fun from the KAO and everyone can enter to win a free telescope and children’s books (must be present to win).

Guests are asked to enter through the front doors. FHDC exhibits will not be open during this time.
