Kansas State University is organizing a digital summit at Fort Riley looking into digital innovation and advanced academic programs. Scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the event welcomes transitioning soldiers, active-duty military personnel, veterans, and their families from the surrounding area.
The summit will offer hands-on workshops led by faculty experts covering various domains such as media, cybersecurity, computer science, entrepreneurship, and digital media technology. Attendees will have the chance to engage in simulations exploring educational paths to the digital world. The event will also feature community engagement presentations and a campus engagement panel, highlighting opportunities for soldiers in the digital workforce.
With projections indicating a demand for over 40,000 graduates with digital skills in the next 10 years, the summit seeks to bridge the gap between military service and digital career prospects. Registrations can be made via k-state.edu/digitalsummit.
