Manhattan Area Technical College will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Advanced Technology Center on Thursday, August 29th at 4:00 PM.
The new 47,000 square foot facility aims to enhance educational opportunities and boost regional economic growth. The Center will allow Manhattan Tech to double enrollment in several programs and introduce new ones in Biomanufacturing, Electrician Technology, and Plumbing Technology for fall 2025.
The project is anticipated to contribute $15-20 million to the regional economy, with 86% of Manhattan Tech graduates staying in the area. The Center will house six technical programs, a Biosafety Level 3 simulation lab, a versatile conference room, and a modern computer lab for campus and local business use.
Dr. James Genandt, President of Manhattan Area Technical College, said the new Advanced Technology Center is a monumental step forward for Manhattan Tech and the entire region.
