Every semester, North Central Kansas Technical College (NCK Tech) awards a staff or faculty member with a 212° award. The award’s purpose is to recognize those who demonstrate dedication and the willingness to “go that extra degree.” This semester they have chosen Shane Britt. Britt is the Dean of Student Experience for the Beloit campus.
NCK Tech explained that 212 degrees is the boiling point of water; the boiling point is a transformation. Those who receive this award have gone above and beyond the call of duty and are considered transformational leaders at the college. They have a positive attitude and are committed to their profession, the students, and co-workers. They are also loyal to the mission of NCK Tech.
“I greatly appreciate all that Dean Britt does to help our students have a positive experience while at NCK Tech. Shane is dedicated to serving students and is an amazing player who is always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. I am happy for him to be recognized by his peers for this award,” Eric Burks, President of NCK Tech, said.
