The Concordia Police Department Announces Important Dates for Upcoming School Year

With the first day of school fast approaching, the Concordia Police Department would like to inform the community of important dates to ensure the safety of our children as they return to school.

Key Dates to Remember:

-August 7th: The flashing 20mph signs on 6th Street by the middle school will be activated to remind drivers of this school zone.

– August 9th: The 20 mph school zones at all schools for K-12 students will go into effect and be strictly enforced. This is the first day of classes for some students.

– August 13th: The first day of school for all K-12 students. The Concordia Police Department will have an increased presence to enforce school zones and ensure the safety of students.

The Concordia Police Department asks all citizens to keep these dates in mind and to assist us in maintaining the safety of our community’s children. We appreciate your cooperation and support in making this school year a safe and successful one.
