Total school enrollment in Washington County has continued its upward trend, with a total of 1,141 students in grades K-12 reported on the first day of school across six local schools: Clifton-Clyde, Hanover, Linn, Linn Lutheran, St. John’s Catholic, and Washington County. This is an increase from last year’s 1,128 students and marks the third consecutive year of growth, reaching the highest enrollment since 2012.
Five of the six schools reported increases, with Linn Lutheran and St. John’s Catholic schools experiencing their highest enrollments in decades. Official enrollment numbers, used for state budgeting, will be reported on September 20.
