The City of Clyde will hold its 125th Annual Watermelon Festival over Labor Day Weekend. To celebrate its 125th Anniversary the Festival has been extended to five days, starting Thursday, August 29th, and running through Labor Day.

Art Baker, Chamber President, said this Festival is a huge event for the Community, bringing people back to the area for the weekend.

The staples of the Watermelon Festival including the demo derby, parade, watermelon feed, and more will be taking place. Baker said with it being the 125th they’re taking the Festival out another day, with added events and activities.

The Festival kicks off Thursday at 4:00 p.m., continuing with a weekend jam-packed with events and activities for the whole family. A full list of the weekend’s schedule can be found on the Clyde Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
