‘70s and ‘80s Rock Icons to Perform at McCain Auditorium

Foghat and Starship featuring Mickey Thomas will perform at Kansas State University’s McCain Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20. Featuring a night of classic ’70s and ’80s rock. Both bands will perform separately, offering a double dose of iconic music.

Foghat, known for hits like “Slow Ride,” has gained fans through their music’s appearance in “Guitar Hero III,” “Dazed & Confused,” and “Top Gun: Maverick.”

Starship, led by Mickey Thomas’ powerful vocals, became famous in the ’80s with chart-topping hits like “We Built This City,” “Sara,” and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now.” Their song “It’s Not Over ‘Til It’s Over” became Major League Baseball’s 1987 theme.

Tickets can be purchased online on the McCain website, at the McCain ticket office from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, or by phone during those hours.
