Brown Grand Opera House Celebrates Important Milestones

The Brown Grand Opera House in celebrating important milestones on Saturday, August 26, starting at 2 pm. As the Theatre enters its 2023-2024 season, the nearly 116-year-old Opera House has finished some projects to improve the facility.

Firstly, the Brown Grand will recognize its 50th anniversary of being listed on the National Register of Historic Places, which occurred on July 26, 2023. The Theatre became part of the registry in 1973 when the restoration of the facility began five decades ago. Additionally, the Ladies Parlor will be unveiled during the open house. A donation from the Marjoire and Larry Lundberg Trust was given to the Opera House in December 2022 to renovate the Ladies Parlor. This project is now finished, and everyone is welcome to visit the theatre to see its changes.
