The Chapman Public Library and Chapman Valley Manor will host a ‘Back to School Bash’ on the Manor grounds on Friday, August 15th, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.
This free event is open to all, with many activities planned for the kids. Jennifer McCall, Library Director, spoke about some of the activities.
“We’re going to have a lot of fun activities! There will be games, a bounce house, bubbles, crafts, and we even have United Way of Geary County coming in and having a table.”
“We also have Parents as Teachers coming to provide more information and resources to the community.”
“We are doing this as a way to kind of kick off the school year, say goodbye to summer, and hello to learning.”
“We even have fun stuff for little kids, too.”
McCall said it will be a fun weekend in Chapman. Along with the Back to School Bash, the City of Chapman also invites patrons to Sheeran Park on Saturday, August 16th, for a ‘Free Movie In the Park’ event.
“We are doing a movie in the park too, on Saturday night. The movie will start at dark at Sheeran Park.”
“There will be refreshments as well.”
“The events in Chapman are free, so just come out, have a good time, and enjoy the weekend in Chapman.”
