On September 28th, downtown Concordia will be full of people, activities, and vendors when it hosts its 42nd annual Fall Fest celebration. This annual event kicks off early and lasts until late at night, drawing in thousands of people yearly.
The day will be full of events and activities including: Class Reunions, a parade, a car show, Kid’s Corner, live music, a Human Fruit Machine, and much more. Annie Bergmann, Concordia Chamber & Commerce Director, highlighted a few new and unique activities and events this year.
Every year the Chamber partners with fourth-grade students to design the yearly Fall Fest button. One design is chosen and becomes a big part of the celebration. Bergmann said the buttons are like raffle tickets, where attendees have a chance at great prizes.
Bergmann said the annual Fall Fest is huge for Concordia.
This year’s Grand Marshalls are longtime Concordia business owners Jim and Joyce Coppoc. Fourth-grade student Katelyn Bauer was the Button Contest winner and will serve as Junior Grand Marshall. Find more information on where you can purchase a Button and see the full schedule on the Fall Fest Facebook page.
