Local Pianist Returning Home for Trio of Concerts

By Ryan Duey

Minneapolis Native Landon Wilson will be returning home to perform three solo piano recitals for a good cause. In what will be known as the “Homecoming Recital Tour,” Landon will perform a culmination of music he has studied at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, where he is a senior.

Landon’s Tour will start on Saturday, February 3rd at Colby’s United Methodist Church. On Sunday, the 4th he will perform at Christ Cathedral in Salina, and will finish at the First United Methodist Church in his hometown of Minneapolis.

We were eager to ask Landon how it feels to perform back home.

He told us about the style of music he enjoys and a little of what you can expect on his Tour.

Landon gave a glimpse into how he got started and grew to love the Piano.

Admission is by donation, suggested at $25, with all proceeds going to local organizations. For more information about the tour and how you can attend please visit the church’s website in your area.
