“PIZZA the Fun at Bonding Thru Board Games” Family Event Combines Board Games and Bonding on April 27th in Clyde

On Sunday, April 27th the River Valley Extension District, in partnership with the Clifton-Clyde FCCLA group, will host a ‘PIZZA’ the Fun at Bonding Thru Board Games event at the Clifton-Clyde High School in Clyde at 4:00 p.m.

Monica Thayer, Family Resource Management Agent, said this event is all about getting together as a family, group of friends, or any group to bond while putting the electronics away. She spoke about what will take place during the event.

“People are encouraged to come out from 4:00 to 5:00 and we’ll have board games available to play. We’ll talk about the six traits of a strong family and kind of give them some education on the importance of bonding through board games as they play.”

“Participants in the board games will then get to take home a board game with them so they can continue the fun at home.”

In addition to playing board games, participants have the option to create their own take-and-bake pizza together for $2 each. Thayer talked about this fun addition.

“From 4:45 to 5:30, we’re going to have different stations set up where households can go through and make their own take-and-bake pizzas to take home with them.”

“With these pizzas, we’ll also have a side salad and fruit for families to take home.”

Registration for the pizzas is requested by Friday, April 18th for an ingredient count. Patrons can register online at https://kstate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8Ijh58mQ3HPMAAu or by calling the Concordia Extension Office at (785) 243-8185.
