Clay Center, KS- No that wasn’t an attack by droids or storm troopers you saw yesterday in Clay Center. It’s not even Halloween. But what it was, was May 4th, Star Wars Days. And if you talk to any Star Wars fan, they will tell you “May the 4th be with you.”
That storm trooper is Joe Kimbrough, also known as Sneeky Joe on Facebook to his followers. Kimbrough says that he bought the suit in 2014 to wear while he watched Star Wars in the movie theater. But, as we saw yesterday, it’s not just in the theaters that he wears the suit.
During the COVID shut down, Kimbrough started streaming on Facebook and the suit was a centerpiece in the background.
That’s not the only Star Wars outfit Kimbrough owns, or the only public event he’s done here in Clay Center.
So maybe having a light saber for a once in a lifetime chance to fight a storm trooper in your car for those rare opportunities, isn’t a bad idea.
