Kansas Water Plan 2022: Local Workshops Invite Public Input on Water Management and Policy

A series of local consult workshops are being held by The Kansas Water Office, Kansas Department of Agriculture, and Kansas Department of Health and Environment to discuss the implementation of the 2022 Kansas Water Plan.

Kansans are invited to share their thoughts on several topics, including regional water needs, policy changes, the effectiveness of programs, funding recommendations, goals and timelines, and ways to improve water management.

Workshop locations, dates, and times include:

Colby: Monday, June 17 from 5-8 p.m. at Colby Event Center

Dodge City: Tuesday, June 18 from 9 a.m. to noon at Boot Hill Conference Center

Chanute: Thursday, June 20 from 2-5 p.m. at SEK Impact Conference Center

Wichita: Tuesday, June 25 from 9 a.m. to noon at WSU Hughes Metropolitan Complex

Salina: Wednesday, June 26 from 9 a.m. to noon at Kansas Highway Patrol Training Academy

Lawrence: Thursday, June 27 from 9 a.m. to noon at Burge Union
