Kansas — Thunderstorms swept across the KCLY listening area Friday evening producing tornadoes and causing damage, but also providing some much-needed rain.
A tornado in Dickinson County damaged farms and homes along an almost 15-mile track just west of Herington.

Chad Omitt with the NWS in Topeka added another EF-1 tornado was surveyed in southern Pottawatomie County.

Omitt continued they are in the process of collecting additional data. He said they suspect another brief tornado touched down in Dickinson County earlier in the evening, but no significant damage has been reported.
In other parts of the county, no tornadoes are suspected to have touched down.

Damage though was caused by hail and strong winds.
In Washington County, Randy Hubbard, Emergency Management Coordinator said they had some random telephone poles damaged, a barn east of Washington was taken down, and a door on a building was taken off, but beyond that, nothing else has been reported.
Clay County also reported no damage outside of a carport that reportedly blew into a power line in Clay Center.
