The Friends of Hollenberg Station will host the 38th Annual Pony Express Festival on Sunday, August 25th at the Hollenberg Pony Express Station Historic Site near Hanover. The Festival will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Festival is a celebration of the Pony Express riders and the historical mail trail that was used in the 1860s. Gary Minge, President of the Friends of Hollenberg Station, said there will be many period demonstrations, activities, and more.
They will have a pulled pork lunch and an ice cream stand at the Festival. They will also celebrate the Pony Express Riders with a mochila exchange. Minge said the Hollenberg Station is part of their history in Hanover.
Minge said he hopes to see people out there celebrating the history of the Pony Express site. More information on the Festival can be found on the Hollenberg Facebook page.
