Community Foundation of Dickinson County
On March 21, Dickinson County came together once again to show its generosity and commitment to local nonprofits through Donate Dickinson County Day. In its seventh year, the event set yet another record, with 663 gifts totaling an incredible $187,714.15. Once the match was calculated, the total increased to $320,106.
“This event proves, year after year, that our community believes in investing in itself,” said Elizabeth Weese, Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Dickinson County. “It’s inspiring to see so many people come together to support the causes that make our county stronger and more vibrant.”
Forty-one nonprofits participated in this year’s event, with 18 of them reaching or exceeding the $5,000 match goal. These organizations span a wide range of missions, from education and healthcare to the arts and community development. Each dollar given helps sustain their invaluable work, ensuring that vital services and programs continue to enrich the lives of Dickinson County residents.
The staff braved the wind to ensure that there was a drive-thru again this year at their new location, 201 NW 2nd Street. “The created and creative drive-thru worked very well, and we are looking forward to next year’s event.”
The impact of Donate Dickinson County Day goes far beyond a single day of giving. As community funds grow, so does the ability to grant even more resources back into the community. Whether it’s funding scholarships for students, providing emergency assistance to families in need, or supporting local cultural initiatives, these funds ensure that Dickinson County remains a thriving place for all.
With each passing year, Donate Dickinson County Day continues to grow. The generosity displayed by donors speaks volumes about the spirit of this community and its commitment to making a difference. As we celebrate another record-breaking year, we also look forward to an even brighter future—one where philanthropy continues to shape Dickinson County for generations to come.
Let’s keep the momentum going. Let’s grow Donate Dickinson County Day!
