Area youth invited to CCCC’s Thor Days & Kids’ College

Area youth in first through sixth grade are invited to attend either Thor Days or Kid’s College on the Cloud County Community College Concordia campus July 21-23.

This year, Thor Days will be for fourth, fifth and sixth graders, and they will begin their day at 9 a.m., and finish at 1 p.m. There will be two class sessions – the first from 9-10:45 a.m. and the second from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Cost will be $30, which includes a T-shirt and enrollment in two classes.

Classes to be offered for 4th-6th grade Thor Days will be: Drones, Nursing, Early Childhood Education – Brain & Body Speed Training, Psychology Made Fun, Exploring Criminal Justice and Forensic Science, Ag Science, Wind Energy, and Solar Energy.

Students in grades Kindergarten-3 will also attend Kid’s College July 21-23, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. There will be three class sessions, with each session being an hour long. Cost for 1st-3rd graders will be $30, which includes enrollment in three classes and a T-Shirt.

Classes to be offered for 1st-3rd grade Kid’s College will be: Gemstone Dig, Stepping Stones, Dance Party, Mosaic Designs, Legos, Jewelry Making, Music, Sand Art, Paper Airplanes, Painting Fun, Dinosaurs, and Kites.

Early enrollment deadline for both sections of Kid’s College is June 13. Classes are limited in size, so early enrollment is suggested. A T-shirt cannot be guaranteed without early enrollment. Registration fliers, which include full descriptions of classes, have been delivered to area schools. Fliers are also available on the college website at www.cloud.edu, under the “about” tab.
