The Manhattan Arts Center (MAC) will hold its 3rd annual MAC & Cheese Arts and Musical Festival at the MAC on Saturday, March 28th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This Festival is free to attend and will feature a wide range of art and entertainment.
Artists from across the region will showcase and sell their art, with live art demonstrations and a range of activities for all ages. Additionally, the event will include live music, a beer garden, and, of course, the MAC & Cheese competition. Addie Schneider, Director of Education at the MAC, explained the competition.
“Attendees can buy a tasting ticket from us, and they can go and taste mac and cheese from different food trucks, their own original creations.”
“They then get a vote with that ticket on which they like best.”
“At the end of the day, we have a traveling trophy, and it will go to the winner.”
Schneider said they will also hold their costume garage sale, selling older costumes previously used at the MAC. Proceeds from the MAC & Cheese Festival will be split between the Arts Council and Common Table.
Volunteers are still needed, which includes a free t-shirt.
“If anyone would like to volunteer. You can sign up on our website at www.manhattanarts.org.”
“Just click the volunteer button. If you volunteer for any of the shifts, you get a free t-shirt that says, ‘Mac & Cheese’ on it.”
The festival offers attendees a day full of music, art, and fun for all ages. To learn more about this year’s Festival or to volunteer, visit the Art Center’s website.
