The Marshall County Fair will offer a new event this year. The Marshall County Arts Cooperative (MCAC) will host a Battle of the Bands competition on Sunday, July 21st from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Marshall County Fairgrounds in Blue Rapids.

Wayne Kruse, MCAC Chairman, said they decided to work with the County Fair Board to create an event for after the parade on Sunday night.

Kruse said this competition is for any band, experienced or new. The public is encouraged to come out and watch these Bands compete.

The competition is limited to the first 8 bands that register so any band interested will want to sign up soon. Registration is due by July 12th, To register call MCAC or visit their website.
