The Red Cross is experiencing a critical blood shortage and is urgently calling for blood donations. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states, weigh at least 110 pounds, and are in generally good health are encouraged to donate. Especially donors with Type O blood, which is in critical demand.

The City of Clifton will hold a blood drive on Friday, July 11th, from 12:00 to 6:00 at the Clifton American Legion. People can sign up to give blood on the Red Cross website, App, or by calling the Red Cross.

Every day, blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood.
