Cloud County Community College is hosting their first ever “Theatre Visit Day” on Friday, October 27th at Cloud County Community College. The day will begin at 8:30 a.m., with students checking in at the Welcome Center. Julia Burr-Roveti, the new theatre instructor at Cloud, will be introduced to students on the tour.

Burr-Roveti previously taught composition and literature in Maryland at Chesapeake College. She tutored students of all ages at both private and local schools. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and Theatre and a Master of Arts in English. She performed on and off Broadway when she lived in New York City.

“Not only does she have an impressive resume, but Julia also has a caring personality that is vivid and infectious. She has a passion for what she does and sincerely cares about her students,” Brandt Hutchinson, Vice President for Student Services, said.

Any senior who attends Theatre Visit Day and has a GPA of at least 3.0 is eligible to receive Cloud’s Early Bird Scholarship; a $500 scholarship for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year.

The visitors will tour campus and Cook Theatre, meet with academic advisors, and chat with the cast members of “Picasso at the Lapin Aigle” which is Cloud’s fall play. Those attending visit day will be given two free tickets so they can come back and see the show.
