Chapman Archery Team Has Great Showing at State Tournament

By Ryan Duey

The Chapman Archery Team competed at the NASP State Tournament last weekend with a great showing by the High School and Middle School teams. The High School Team took first place in the 3D competition, and the Middle School Team came in second place in both the bullseye and 3D competitions.

Kyle Griffis, Lead Coach, has been part of the team for 7 years, which gives all kids an opportunity to compete for their school.

The Team is led by volunteer coaches who wake up early, travel on weekends, and put in hours of their own time to help the students grow and compete.

Griffis said in the NASP all students shoot the same bow, giving all students an equal chance based on skill and discipline. If you are interested in learning about the Chapman Archery Team or would like to support the team, contact Kyle Griffis.
