The Cloud County Fair began today, July 20th, 2023. There are many activities that can provide fun for the whole family. One event, StoryWalk, was planned by Parents as Teachers and The River Valley Extension District. It will be held near the entrance of the Commercial Building at the Cloud County Fairgrounds tomorrow, Friday, July 21st from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. At this event, children will get to wash plastic animals, and will receive a new book titled Mrs. Wishy-Washy, which correlates to the activity.
Mrs. Wishy-Washy is a children’s book about a woman who lives on a farm. The animals on the farm, a cow, pig, and duck, all like to make a mess and play in the mud. Mrs. Wishy-Washy doesn’t think this is fun, so she tries to wash them and quickly finds out that no matter how hard you try, you just can’t keep a cow, pig, or duck clean when mud is involved.
