The Cloud County Resource Center is accepting school bag applications for the 2025-2026 school year from now until July 31st.

Pre-K through 12th-grade students with permanent residence in Cloud County can register to receive a brand-new school bag. The bag will be packed with specific items requested for their grade level.

Students who live in Cloud County but go to school in the surrounding school districts are still eligible.

Homeschooled students can also register for supplies, or families can enroll their students for school bags like the other students receive.

School bags are $3, and a scholarship fund is available. These funds help offset the cost of last-minute items.

Most of the funds for this project came from the Meridian Way Wind Farm Grant, which is provided by EDP Renewables.

To register, call Cloud County Resource Center at 785-243-1065, email ccrc@nckcn.com, or stop by 107 West 7th in Concordia.

They will also be at the Concordia Farmer’s Market on Thursdays.
