Cloud County Resource Center Will Have “Go For Gold” Food Drive

By Payton Tholstrup

The Cloud County Resource Center will have its “Go for Gold” Summer Food Drive from June 1st-August 1st. The food bank is likely to see some of its highest numbers of customers since before COVID this summer, so they are asking for help with donations. Items they need include cereal, mac and cheese, canned meats, body wash, baby food, canned fruit, pasta, pasta sauce, bar soap, and feminine hygiene products. Items can be dropped off at Travel and Tourism, the Senior Center, and Century 21 in Concordia.

The food bank can be accessed once a month by any resident within Cloud County who can provide documentation proving identity, proof of income, and residency status. Residents are asked to call ahead to make an appointment to receive their cart filled with groceries to prepare approximately 30 meals.
