The Community Memorial Healthcare (CMH) will host a series of town hall meetings to inform voters about the upcoming half-cent sales tax renewal vote in Marshall County. These meetings will provide hospital officials an opportunity to explain how the sales tax has been used to support the hospital, its clinics, and related services. The renewal of the sales tax will be on the November general election ballot.
The meetings are scheduled as follows:
- 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, Axtell American Legion
- 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 18, CMH South Plaza conference room, Marysville
- 6:30 p.m. September 25, Valley Heights High School
- 6:30 p.m. October 2, Altstadt Gallery, Frankfort
- 6:30 p.m. October 9, Beattie Community Center
The sales tax has raised around $90,000 to $92,000 monthly since 2020. The new proposal would renew the tax for another five years.
