The 5th Annual Coyote Crazy Parkinson’s Benefit Poker Walk was held September 28th at Brown’s Park south of Abilene. The event is held in honor of Dennis Rider, Abilene, and all others fighting the fight against Parkinson’s disease. The Coyote Crazy committee wanted to continue to keep the funds local. Coyote Crazy recently donated $26,000 to Impact Sports and Fitness, in Abilene, for the Parkinson’s program. The amount is an increase of $6,000 from last year.
“On a day-to-day basis, we get to see how this program benefits those who utilize it,” said Anita Larson, Impact Sports and Fitness Manager. “We are so appreciative to be a recipient, once again, of these funds from Coyote Crazy to allow Impact Sports and Fitness to provide the Parkinson’s program to help folks stay engaged and active,” Larson continued.
If you, or someone you know, can benefit from the Parkinson’s program, FREE of charge, contact Impact Sports and Fitness at 785-263-3888 or stop by 418 N. Broadway in downtown Abilene. Thank you to the Coyote Crazy committee for continuing to support this valuable program.
