In Celebration of Kansas Day, the Dickinson County Historical Society will be holding its annual “Kansas Statehood Ball” on Saturday, January 27th. This year the Ball will take place at the Herington Community Center in Herington.
Austin Anders of the Dickinson County Historical Society tells us a little about this Annual Event.
The Ball is a 3-hour Event, starting with the Grand Entry March. Music Of the 1860s and 70s will be performed by the Kansas State Brigade Band, and you can enjoy the music and learn more about the Era with Preceptor-led dancing.
This family-friendly event opens its doors at 7:00 pm, you are encouraged to arrive early to take part in the Grand March. Refreshments will also be provided for when you need a break from dancing.
