Dickinson County First Responders to Host “Fishing With First Responders”

By Ryan Duey

On Saturday, June 1st Dickinson County First Responders will host their first annual Fishing With First Responders Event at Father Padilla Pond in Herington from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Dickinson County youth aged 5 to 18 are welcome, with all fishing tackle being provided.

Deputy Brandon Depew with the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office said that with a bunch of officers who enjoy fishing and hunting, this event seemed like the answer.

At the end of the event, drawings for prizes will be given out, and the First Responders will provide pizza for lunch. Depew said youth do not need to know how to fish, there will be plenty of First Responders there to help out.

It is asked that children 10 and under be accompanied by an adult. For more information or to register visit the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office Facebook Page, scan the QR Code on the Flyer, or contact Deputy Depew at bdepew@dkcoks.gov.
