Downtown Manhattan will host the Manhattan Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, September 7th at 7:00 p.m. at the Riley County Courthouse plaza on Poyntz Avenue.
The performance, titled “Home on the Range,” celebrates the Flint Hills and will be a tribute to Donna Scheele, the late President of Downtown Manhattan, Inc. Scheele, a passionate advocate for the arts and downtown development, was posthumously honored with the 2024 Downtown Steward of the Year award, accepted by her son Damen.
The event is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. The Hungry Chickpea will offer fresh sandwiches and salads for purchase. The event is supported by Downtown Partner, Finn’s Neighborhood Pub.
