Prairie Paws Animal Shelter in Manhattan is collaborating with the Stagg Hill Golf Course for its 1st Annual Par for the Paws golf tournament on Friday, October 11th at 8:00 a.m. All proceeds from this team event will go to the Animal Shelter.
Registration for this friendly competition includes a golf cart and a catered lunch, with various prizes up for grabs. Sydney Shrimpton, Prairie Paws Director of Fundraising, said they are hoping to expand their reach with this tournament.
Shrimpton said this tournament will be your classic 18-hole scramble. She said teams can compete with 3 or 4 members.
Shrimpton said while grant funding is great, events like this are needed to help the Shelter and its programs.
