For the Love of Horses Benefit and Gala Seeks to Show the Evolution of this Long-Standing Non-Profit

By Ryan Duey

In September of 2005, Co-Founders Karen and David Everhart started the non-profit organization Rainbow Meadows Equine Rescue and Retirement, Inc. in Sedan, KS with the purpose of giving horses a safe home from abuse, neglect, and slaughter. In March of 2020, they moved the Ranch into the Flint Hills, South of Junction City where they also give individuals the option to retire their horses to a beautiful 160-acre ranch.

As a non-profit, they rely on help from giving people. On Saturday, February 17th they will be holding their Annual “For the Love of Horses” Benefit and Gala. Karen tells us about the upcoming Event.

If you are not able to make the Benefit and Gala there are still numerous ways you can donate to this wonderful cause.

For ticket information or if you would like to donate you can find their information at rainbowmeadowsranch.com or visit the Rainbow Meadows Facebook page.
