The Greater Manhattan Community Foundation (GMCF) will hold its 13th annual ‘Grown Green Match Day’ on Tuesday, April 22nd. In-person giving will take place at the Colony Square Atrium in Manhattan from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Participating funds will have a chance to greatly grow their endowment funds with a 50% match on donations, up to $7500. Each hour, an in-person donor will also be drawn to give an additional $100 to a fund of their choosing.
Vern Henricks, President & CEO of GMCF, said they are humbled by the generosity of the community every year.
“It’s a day that we are always humbled by the generosity of our community and the impact that it makes in this community in so many ways.”
“We continue to receive more gifts each year, larger gifts from donors each year, and more charities supported by each donor each year. It’s quite an amazing thing that has been going on for quite some time now.”
Patrons who can’t make it in person can donate online from midnight to 11:59 p.m. on the Grow Green Manhattan website or by mail to GMCF. An additional in-person Remote Donation Station will also be set up at Meadowlark’s Prairie Star Restaurant from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Attendees can drop off donations and enjoy a special food menu to celebrate the day.
