Join NCK CASA for ‘Wear Blue Day’ on April 4th to Support Child Abuse Prevention and Advocacy

The first Friday of April is Wear Blue Day in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month. North Central Kansas CASA & Hope’s Place Child Advocacy Center’s (CAC) largest annual fundraiser, Wear Blue Day, takes place on Friday, April 4th. These nonprofits rely on grants and fundraising to provide essential services, including advocacy, forensic interviews, mental health care, and financial assistance.

NCK CASA trains community volunteers to support abused and neglected children in six counties, while Hope’s Place CAC provides a safe space for forensic interviews and advocacy across four counties. In 2024, Hope’s Place CAC assisted 44 children, and NCK CASA trained four new volunteers, though 30 more are needed.

Additional April events include story time at Frank Carlson Library, movie screenings, community engagement activities, and more. For more information on NCK CASA visit their website.
