Emmons Creek, East of Manhattan off Highway 18, is set to host its Inaugural “Purpose on the Prairie” Event on Sunday, May 5th at their venue in the beautiful Flint Hills. This Free Will Donation Event will host local musicians taking the stage from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Proceeds from this Event will go toward the “Rice Bowls” Organization. Angie Flippo, owner of Emmons Creek, said Rice Bowls provides food for children throughout the world.

Flippo said she and her family got the opportunity to go on a Yum Trip with the Rice Bowls organization and saw the impact Rice Bowls has on the children and communities it serves.

Along with a concert, “Purpose on the Prairie” will hold a Silent Auction and a dessert buffet. Special guests are also planned to attend via video.
