Kansas State University
Kansas State University will host a surplus office furniture giveaway for local nonprofit organizations and community members. The items available were previously used on the Manhattan campus but are no longer needed. All items will be offered “as is,” with no repairs or improvements.
Nonprofit organizations can view and select items on April 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Community members can view and select items on April 28-29 from 5 to 7 p.m. The giveaway will take place at the Unger Complex, located at 2323 Anderson Avenue. Please enter through the main entrance on Anderson Avenue, where you will be guided to the viewing area. Parking will be free for the duration of the viewing times.
Any items chosen must be picked up at the time of selection. Limited dollies and furniture-moving equipment will be available. Individuals are encouraged to bring tools, as some furniture may need to be disassembled for transport. K-State staff will be present to inventory the items but are unable to assist with lifting or moving furniture.
A wide selection of used office furniture will be available during the giveaway, including:
- Wood and metal desks
- Metal filing cabinets
- Herman Miller office wall panels
- Whiteboards
- Folding tables
- Student desks
- Rolling chairs
- Desktop printers
- Miscellaneous office items
K-State recognizes the importance of being good stewards of the community. The surplus office furniture giveaway recycles these items and gives them a new life with local nonprofits and community members.
