This Saturday, October 7th, the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks will be hosting the Little Apple Glow Paddle at Tuttle Creek State Park in the River Pond from 6:30 to 8:00pm. Before setting sail for a fun night of floating and paddling, participants will decorate their boats with lights and other self-provided materials. The day will end with a bonfire and smores. Participants are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes during the event. Kayaks will be available to rent for $10 per kayak by calling the Tuttle Creek State Park Office at 785-539-7941. Children under 12 will be required to be accompanied by an adult in a tandem kayak, which will also be available for rent for $10. A $5 day pass will need to be purchased to enter the park, but the event itself is free to attend. Lifejackets are required for all participants.
