City of Marysville

Marysville’s beloved Mother’s Day Market returns to City Park for its 49th year, bringing a full weekend of shopping, live music, delicious food and family-friendly activities. The Market will be open Saturday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, May 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The market features more than 100 vendors offering antiques, flowers, handcrafted jewelry, vintage finds, health and wellness products, home décor and unique gifts. It has become a cherished tradition for families and visitors across the region, offering something for everyone.

This year’s market features 20 food vendors offering everything from barbecue, pizza and kettle corn to ice cream, baked goods, lumpia, root beer floats, funnel cakes and more.

Live music will add to the festive atmosphere throughout the weekend:
• Saturday, 12–2 p.m. – Bodarc (Bob Atchison & Derrick Doty)
• Saturday, 2–4 p.m. – Taylor Kline & Mandy Kary
• Sunday, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. – Live Circuit featuring Mike Wiegers

Families are encouraged to make a day of it, with activities for all ages, including face painting and a petting zoo on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Several enhancements have been added this year, including more outdoor toilets throughout the park, expanded seating areas and additional trash receptacles.

“We want the Mother’s Day Market to be a fun, welcoming experience for everyone,” said Stacy Wullschleger, one of the event organizers. “Whether you’re shopping for the perfect gift, enjoying lunch from one of our food vendors or simply spending time together, we want families to feel at home in the park and enjoy everything the Market has to offer.”

The celebration continues Sunday with the annual Mother’s Day Chicken Barbecue at the Helvering Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meals include half a chicken, baked potato, baked beans, coleslaw and a roll for $15. Dine-in, delivery and carryout options are available by calling 785-713-9866.

Proceeds from the Mother’s Day Market and Chicken Barbecue support OneMarysville, helping fund community projects, events and improvements that strengthen Marysville throughout the year.
