Todd Arrington, the new Director of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum, will host a meet-and-greet tomorrow, September 25th at the Abilene Civic Center from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Arrington, an Army veteran with a Ph.D. in history, has extensive experience with the National Park Service, including positions at the Homestead National Monument and James A. Garfield National Historic Site.
His interest in Eisenhower was rekindled years ago during a conversation about historical leadership. Arrington admires Eisenhower’s leadership during World War II and his human decency. He’s excited to preserve Eisenhower’s legacy, noting the president’s rising historical reputation.
Archivist of the U.S. Colleen Shogan praised Arrington’s dedication to historical preservation, while Eisenhower Foundation chair Stephen Hauge highlighted his academic credentials and leadership experience.
