The 49th annual Mother’s Day Market, sponsored by OneMarysville, returns to Marysville City Park on Saturday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, May 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., bringing with it a vibrant lineup of shopping, food and entertainment for the whole family.
This year’s market features more than 100 vendors offering antiques, handmade items, jewelry, baked goods, flowers and plants, yard art, soaps, tools, vintage pieces, collectibles and much more.
“Every vendor space is full,” said Stacy Wullschleger, this year’s vendor coordinator. “People love coming to Marysville for this market—it’s a great mix of tradition and new energy, and we’re proud to host such a diverse lineup.”
Food lovers will have no shortage of options, with over 20 food vendors throughout the park, including local favorites like Bite Me Barbecue, Mama Ging’s House of Lumpia, It’s A Sweet Treat Day Bakery, Trin’s Cheesecakes N Treats, the Korner Bistro and Diner, Ma and Pa’s Kettle Corn, the Tipsy Trailer, Off My Rocker, the Parlor, the Tipsy Trailer and Fire and Ice.
On Saturday, families can enjoy a free petting zoo by G&C Petting Zoo of Holton from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Face painting, tarot readings and dozens of booths tailored for all ages will also be part of the experience.
Live music will add to the festive atmosphere both days. Saturday’s lineup includes Bodarc—featuring Bob Atchison and Derrick Doty from Manhattan—from 12 to 2 p.m., followed by Taylor Kline and Mandy Kary from 2 to 4 p.m. On Sunday, Marysville High School graduate Mike Wiegers returns with his band Live Circuit, performing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A highlight of the weekend is the annual Mother’s Day Chicken Barbecue on Sunday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Helvering Center in Marysville. For $15, guests will enjoy a half chicken dinner catered by Van’s BBQ Aces, complete with baked potato, coleslaw, baked beans, roll and tea or water.
