A new fitness court has officially opened in Junction City, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and unveiling hosted by the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce.
Kendall Schoenrock of “Quality Play for All” expressed gratitude for the community’s support and highlighted the park’s recent improvements. Schoenrock emphasized the connection between fitness and quality of life, noting that providing more opportunities for youth to be active leads to a healthier community.
The fitness court was made possible through the collaboration of the city of Junction City, Quality Play for All, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas.
Junction City High School football players were on hand to demonstrate the fitness court, which facilitates a full-body workout through seven different exercises.
