Registration is now open for the Annual Special Olympics Polar Plunge at Tuttle Creek State Park. This chilling event will be on February 10th with announcements and awards beginning at noon, the icy plunge will take place shortly after.
Participants can form teams or register as individuals. After registering participants should begin fundraising and sharing their participation in the plunge to help their efforts. This year’s theme is ‘Together, We Freeze.’
All money raised goes towards supporting the 4,500 Special Olympics Kansas athletes, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
All participants are invited to stay after the plunge to partake in a free hot dog lunch served by the Riley County Police Department.
