Registration is open for The Felix Snipes Foundation’s 3rd Annual Summer Jam 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament Fundraiser, set for Saturday, July 12th, and Sunday, July 13th, at 12th Street Park in Junction City.
Funds from this event help provide resources for individuals and families who have been impacted by violence. Mary Snipes, Foundation President and Felix’s mother, said this Foundation is in honor of her oldest son.
“This foundation was brought about in honor of our oldest son, Felix Andre Snipes.”
“Felix’s life was taken on Friday, August 31st, 2018, and this foundation is bringing awareness, education, and resources in hopes of uplifting and encouraging those who have been affected by senseless acts of violence.”
Snipes said they have been involved with many people around the world, giving back and bringing awareness to senseless acts of violence.
“Proceeds will help provide resources and referrals, or any type of resources to help an individual or family, with we will assist in any way that we can.”
“Felix Snipes Foundation will also be a support system for individuals affected by senseless acts of violence. And we’re just so excited to have this fundraiser again.”
Snipes said to come out and share a wonderful time socializing and having fun with them, all for a great cause. To sign up for the Summer Jam Basketball Tournament, visit their Facebook page.
