Kelsey Hatesohl, Horticulture Extension Agent
Are you ready for spring? Are you itching to get your hands dirty in the garden? While it’s too early to be planting outside, now is a great time to get some of your favorite vegetable seeds started. Come learn about how to start seeds indoors. We will be discussing the basics of seed starting, which vegetables can be started now, what equipment you’ll need, and how to have the plants thriving by the time it’s warm enough to plant them outside. Everyone will be able to take home a seed starting kit!
Join us for a fun morning of planting seeds! We will be at Polansky Seed in Belleville on Saturday, March 15th at 10:00am (2729 M Street Belleville, KS 66935). This event is open to the public and to all ages. There is a workshop fee of $5 to help cover the cost of materials. Please RSVP by March 5th to the River Valley Extension Office at 785-325-2121, or email Kelsey Hatesohl at khatesohl@ksu.edu.
